Chris's '32 Ford reproduction has a Ford authorised body & was built by Rick Dyer of Oakland Industries 18 months ago. The purpose of "THE D" rod was to bring attention to Detroit & it's been in the April '08 Car & Driver & (I think) Hot rod.
In street trim with these mud & snow tires C&D got 12.3 @ 114mph out of it. 0-60 is 3.9 seconds.
It has a hand built Hemi 392 crate motor putting out 525bhp through a torque flyte 727 trans pushing a conservative 3.55 rear end. It weighs 2860 pounds.
The dash is made of Fender guitar pick plate material.
