Funnily enough this is the first photo i ever took with a DSLR, so full auto mode, no editing of colours, just the removal of all the other colours.

First off, I would like to thank everyone for their participation. ALL of the entries showed a lot of creativity. I've been looking at these for the better part of the day today and there are three pictures that I'm instantly drawn to.

In reverse order they are:

#3 MSJGD's "Fresh"
By itself it is a wonderful scene but, with the addition of the color on the fruit cart vendor, it radiates around the rest of the image, making me look at the details all around the one vendor: the bustle of activity around him. Very well done Jean Guy!

#2 donysy's "My Baby Boy"
Probably a nice "snapshot" in full color, a little more dramatic in B&W...But re-introduce that pink tongue to the B&W and one is suddenly aware of the impishness and mischief this little guy is capable of. Well done Dony!

However this is the one I really kept coming back to... Our overall winner and...

#1 Bobster's "Groom waits for the Bride"

You can just feel the eagerness and anticipation of this young man amongst the mostly anonymous mass of humanity in the image. The shallow depth of field works well here as the crowd is rendered almost faceless and the eyes are focusing anywhere and everywhere. By adding the color back to the groom he is clearly the center of attention; head and shoulders above everyone else; his eyes looking for his beloved ( who will then be the center of attention as soon as she enters the picture!!;)) Wonderful image Robert. Congratulations!
