100-400mm.. it wasnt that good that day.. for some reason.. 90% were coming out soft. but i was facing the sun.. plus the haze doesnt help

cropped a tiny bit.. he was super close (more than usual)

I would say so! It looks like he was close enough to singe off your eyebrows. Excellent shot!

THAT is an awsome shot. If you are in a position to do so, I remember the sunset/ after dark afterburners on the planes when I was at Miramar in the '70's. VERY interesting colors and suspended rings out the rear.

I wasn't "in" to photography back then much, and we weren't allowed to have cameras out on the field.

rules are still the same.. its very hard bringing a camera out on the flightline..its a ****.. they make it seem like the world never seen an F-16 before.. boooooooo lol

5D MK2 and 50D + Grips. 50mm 1.4, Sigma 10-20. Canon 100 f2.8 & Kenko tubes for a bit of macro + my favourites - 24-70 L & 70-200 f2.8L. It's not what you have it's the way you use it ;).....in my case.........badly :p
