Hey, quick question. I got a 20D and 580 EX.....was going to use my 8 year rebel as a back up....do you think the 580EX would work on the rebels hot shoe?

Headcase650 Goldmember 1,632 posts Joined Jun 2004 More info | Feb 01, 2005 16:42 | #2 All the EX series flash's should revert back to TTL metering when put on an older EOS body. 60D, Canon 18-135 IS, Sigma 10-20 hsm, 24-70 2.8 hsm, 70-200 2.8 hsm, 430EX II, and all the other stuff that goes along with it.

Well, my 550EX will work with Type-B cameras (non ETTL EOS cameras) in TTL mode so I image 580EX would, too, but don't quote me on that since I don't have the 580EX. ...Leo
