Welcome to the forum! Keep posting your efforts.

All the images have faces and that is a big plus. Pics 1, 2, and 4 are tight but there is little action. Parents will love those shots, however. Number 3 has compelling action but is not tight. If you can combine the best of each next time, that will be great.

I look forward to your next post.

Thanks for the feedback. It is appreciated.

Unfortunately it is the end of the season tourney so I will have to wait for next year for more soccer.

Is this any better.

PS I am sure the parents will love them - No 4 is my son

I totally agree with you guys about the tights. Especially seeing as the week of the tournament has been the first "dry and warm" week we have had since May.

The kids wearing tights were only from that particular school (NOT my sons school)

Gear used 400D 70 - 200 f4

Dave, I go through this often myself...shooting for sales vs shooting for the journalistic side. When you can start combining both, you've nailed it. Clean images with the exception being the netting which kinda kills that one for me despite the solid action. Keep up the good work and try to think of the story of the game as you shoot, not just individual images. I think you'll start to see a real shirft in what you come away with.

Well, the uniforms look like our first 11 team, I don't pay much attention to school sports to be honest.
Nice photos, well captured.
