Guys,
I want to put my telelens in a Lowepro bag alongwith other hosts of lenses and bodies. Which is the best bag for me. I am having a Lowepro Compu Trekker already and I need suggestions to upgrade to a better bigger bag that can hold my telelens and all equipment in one bag

What lenses do you have? Are you only interested in buying Lowepro? More details, will help provide you with more thorough answers.

What lenses

For backpack get a Thinktank Airport Acceleration or Addicted depending on how much gear, both hold a 400 with other gear

For a roller, get a thinktank Airport international V2 or Airstream

If you need more protection get a Pelican 1510 (400 does fit) or 1610 or 1620 depending on just how much other gear you have...

I strongly recommend Think Tank as well. I picked up the bigger Airport Security V. 2 bag - specifically for a baseball tournament to Cooperstown. It worked like a charm. Not only could I fit my 120-300 in it, but EVERYTHING I have - and I still have room to spare. Moreover, because of the double and triple locks it has, I was able to lock my bag both in the hotel room and on the field, and not have to worry one whit about it. That peace of mind allowed me to focus (forgive the obvious pun) on the shooting. :D

I'm a little concerned that down the road, for a wedding next year, I might have to pick up the smaller international version of the bag for airport travel - - although the Airport Security is supposed to be fine for domestic flights (with the airlines charging for stuff like pillows - it wouldn't surprise me if they downsize carry-on restrictions to necessitate the purchase of the international version - for my plans - I don't need to bring the 120-300 for a wedding - unfortunately the wedding came up after I already bought the AS bag). It really depends on what other gear you have and what your plans are (do you travel with your stuff??). If you don't forsee much traveling - you should get the Airport Security to give you the most room. If traveling is in your future, and if your gear allows it with the monster 400, then the International Security or Airstream is the way to go.

Hope this helps.

Pat

Ditto on the thinktank airport...it hols a super tele (400f/2.8, 500L, 600L) with a 40D attached to it. plus my 30D with the 100-400L two 580ex II, charges, extenders, 100macro, 16-35L, 50f/1.4 batteries, chargers, lens fluid clearner, rocket cleaner and still room for a laptop...the things its worth EVERY penny...and it rolls like a ferrari...I am thinking of getting me the thinnktank new backpack (which hold up to a 500L).

I have used my Think Tank Airport Addicted backpack to haul my 400f2.8, Gitzo Monopod, 3 1D series bodies, 8 spare batteries, 70-200f2.8, 16-35f2.8, 1.4x, 28-70f2.8, laptop and other random 'crap' all over the place.

The biggest hick-up is getting dinged for oversize/over weight outside the United States for carrying it on (American Airlines dinged me 3 times in the US at DFW back in 2005 and refused to let it go on as carry on........I have flown roughly 1,000,000 miles since 2005, less than 5,000 miles of it on American Airlines, or any One World Alliance airline, since the triple carry on denial)

Question is, how much stuff do you have that needs to fit into the bag?

Your 70-200 looks strangely unharmed :)
