Nice job, maybe next year the airshow planners will move the show to the other runway so our backs will be to the sun to avoid shooting into it and the haze which was very evident this year.

A little L goes a long way.

Andrew,

Thank you for your input. I doubt the change to the other runway will occur. Mt. Comfort's layout, would not benefit the organizers to change runways. ;)

I truly did not enjoy shooting into the sun. The haze blew Major monkey balls.

Great shots......shooting into the sun isn't all bad. I have a friend who shot a great pic of an F-16 into the sun with a great vapor trail. He has sold it over 100 times, finally to a company that made it into an inspirational poster and it ended up being featured on the wall of a room in a prime time sitcom episode!

I wonder what his keeper rate was after shooting into the sun at an airshow. That's awesome he was able to have sold his image.
Still I dont think that I will be going out of my way to shoot airshows looking into the sun, for some reason backlit aircraft just don't do it for me 98% of the time. Just my opinion.:)

Ditto. I was wondering the same exact thing, regarding shooting into the sun. Although, the Airshow, was a unique learning experience, it was not all that fun, shooting into the sun. I prefer side lighting or lighting from behind, rather than having the planes backlit.
