A group of us in Expectant mothers of "All Hope Abandon Ye Who Enter Here" (4) were discussing things that we have memorized.

So we've decided to make a new thread to see how this goes. So please join in and post the most random things that you still have memorized - even if it was when you were very young!

My most random and useless bit of information that I have memorized is that it used to take me 147 steps to get to my elementary school from my house. I counted it often to keep my mind occupied because the block was so boring and uneventful.

As others have mentioned, I still know my junior high locker comibination and locker number as well.

Your turn.... ;)

I used to install car stereos for a living and I can recall part numbers, sku numbers, and wire colors from certain cars. I also know what size hole to cut for subwoofers.

Oh, and I used to order Chevrolet's for a dealer in the late 80's so I can tell you what the option codes mean, and most of the color codes. And the 10th digit in the GM vin number is the date code, the first number / letter is the country of manufacture 1- USA 2-Canada, the last six digits are the production build number of that specific model.

Military service number from 1961. I think they use SSN now. Also Chief George's speech to his tribe on the eve of his surrender to U.S. land grabbing government.(Mods: not a political statement).

I can still remember the name of OJ's QB at USC. It was Steve Sogge, not totally useless 'cause I won a few beers with that knowledge. Also what team he played for the next year, Albuquerque Dodgers, and his position, catcher. I can also remember exposures for some of my favorite pictures I took 30 years ago. I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday.

My sisters Social security number, Poems I memorized at ten years old. Countless song lyrics. All of the highway systems on the West Coast.. (not that it's all that complicated).. Oh and the number system used on the first computer from the restaurant I worked at in the tenth grade. Like white gravy is 136. Scrambled eggs is 14. Now, that is weird..

Part of a dialogue I had to memorize in a seventh grade Spanish class ("Que tal, Fernando?") that had to do with being in a bus so crowded it felt like sardines in a can. (And no, I won't admit to how many decades it's been since I was in that seventh grade Spanish class...)

There's no need to fear, Underdog is here.

When criminals in this world appear,
And break the laws that they should fear,
And frighten all who see or hear,
The cry goes up both far and near for
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog.

Speed of lightning, roar of thunder,
Fighting all who rob or plunder
Underdog, Underdog.

When in this world the headlines read
Of those who's hearts are filled with greed
And rob and steal from those in need.
To right this wrong with blinding speed goes
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog,
Underdog.

Speed of lightning, roar of thunder,
Fighting all who rob or plunder
Underdog, Underdog.

069616 - my employee number from my first 'job' out of grad school.

AIDA, attention, interest, decision, action -- the consumer behavior axiom of typical decisonmaking for purchases, where D is skipped in the case of 'impulse' buy.

PPPP - Product, place, price, promotion, basic marketing 101

Cindy Lu's face, my first GF.

Other than that, I've forgotten everything.
