shoot in sRGB or adobe RGB?

do you keep your camera on sRGB or adobe RGB when shooting and why?


Canon 5DMKII w/grip // Canon 40D w/grip // 70-200mm f/2.8L IS // 16-35mm f/2.8L II // 50mm f/1.4 // 85mm f/1.8 // 430 EX ll

I have no idea. ;)

When shooting RAW it doesn't matter as your RAW converter and you will decide what to output.

If you don't know why you would shoot AdobeRGB then shoot sRGB. It will eliminate a LOT of problems down the road.

I asked the exact same Q in another forum yesterday.

Photoshop default is sRGB and I think it works better for displaying on computers.

thanks. i had heard aRGB was better for printing or something so wasn't sure

But you should be shooting RAW anyway, so it doesn't matter (ducks for cover wearing a flamesuit :lol: )
