Hi everybody, this is my first portrait post.
Well, what do you think's better?

1)

I like the second one better. I'm all for using negative space, but I don't think it adds much to the first image, that's why I like the crop better.

I agree, #2. The space in #1 isn't contributing anything to the image and the subject is looking toward the camera.

It's a fascinating image and works really well in B&W.

I can only see the second, but looks very nice
