Looking for some feedback as to the real differences about these units and which conditions they are optimized for.
Been to my local camera shop and got several different opinions from several people (expected to some degree) just curious what the forum has to say. One comment was that the Gary Fong cloud would soften up the scene and the clear sphere would do the same but reduce the light loss as the unit is clear. The comment about the Sto-fen was that is was just a more compact and slightly less effective version of the cloud????
I will be attending a wedding, I am not THE photographer just taking some pics of the family and would like to even out the light a bit and remove some flash harshness. The wedding is in the church, however the reception will be in the afternoon going into the evening in a tent with dim lighting.
Shooting with a 30D and 580EX if that makes any difference.
