I'd really like to be able to get rid of the glare in this photo, as I'd looooooooooove to blow it up, possibly on canvas. I've also never done a canvas, so any input would be appreciated.

Anyone help? I know the color could use a little correction too. I'm reasonably comfortable with Photoshop (CS3), so if you're able to post your method, that would be FABULOUS. I've gotten rid of quite a bit of the glare already, but didn't want to make the rest of it look cloned out.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure many experts can help, but it would be easier on the original.

I couldn't stand the overly yellow color hue so I had to correct that first. Not quite right, but it was easier on my eyes.
After cutting and pasting the left side of his left eye, duplicating it to another layer and inverting it horizontally, I used a mask to obscur the edges. Then I used a 50% gray layer to darken the margins of his eye lid. Next I did use the clone tool to put some color back in where you had tried to reduce the original glare. Finally I cut and pasted a portion of his eye lid with eye lashes to replace an area that I think you had reduced in some of your corrections.

Here's the final product (again, I could correct a bit more of the color, but you see the point):

Sorry no one else has replied. You may want to repost in the RAW section for advice. BTW, is my version visible? On flickr, I made it "private" so no one would be able to browse it, but I'm not sure if that removes the "linkability."

I cant see the image. Just a white box with flickr inside.
In Smugmug, the images I post here are gathered in a special folder which is pasword protected, but I still can link to the images. I dont know if the equivalent exists on Flickr

OK, I edited the link. I guess changing the privacy code also changed the URL. Don't know if the OP is still looking at this post any more, though.

Sorry, I definitely am still looking at it! Thank you for the edit, that looks lots better. How in the world did you correct the color cast, because I was having a terrible time with that, too? Thanks!! (I was out of town for the weekend, that's why no replies)
