Stitching software for Time Lapse Images

Hi,

I have collected about 6500+ images from a time-lapse capture (I took a 4.5 hour drive trip). I used my web cam and took one image every second. Now I have all these images and no decent software to create a video. I tried using Windoes Movie maker as well as MakeAvi but for some reason they are unable to handle this many images at once.

Any recommendation on a software?

My dad had good luck on a similar project using Quicktime PRO. There is a windows version available, and its only $30.
