So here is my question...

I have an XTi, and I am using a Speedlite 430ex w/ it. I am wanting to get the flash off the camera for some wireless fun, and am curious about the Cactus Triggers. I planned to get a transmitter and receiver, but I think I remember someone saying you have to get something else too, in order for the receiver to fire the flash. Maybe because the flash doesn't have a PC port? Anyone know about this? Also, on the site it says not to use the V2's with a flash over 12V? Not sure, hmmm. Will they work w/ the 430ex and XTi?

I know about the ST-E2 and used to have a 550ex, so I am aware of the other wireless options, however, sadly, I am to financially challenged for those right now. I actually can't even get the trigger for a few weeks...

Any idea's? Thanks in advance... :)

go with the cybersyncs and a pc to hotshoe instead of ebay stuff. it'll save you some hassle and frustration.

if you go with the ebays go with the newer vs2's that use aaa batteries. i had this set up http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6201 (external link) for my xti + 430ex... it worked fine for getting into wireless flash. if your not tight on funds i would suggest going with cybersync so you can concentrate on taking good pictures and not be wondering if the next shot will be the time that your flash doesn't fire. i know that was always in the back of my mind b4 getting the cybercyncs
