Hi,

I uninstalled an old version of ZB but now I'd like to install v5.0. When I went to Canon site it said this "This software will update ZoomBrowser EX 2.x/3.x/4.x to ZoomBrowser EX 5.0."

Does that mean I have to install an old version first before upgrading.

Thanks

Most updater software would require that a previous version be installed on the computer. I don't know for sure if this is the case with zoom 5.0. You could always download and try to install it. The worst that will happen is it will tell you that it cannot locate the previous version and discontinue the set-up. At that point you can either reinstall the original so that you can try to install zoom 5 again.

I have version 4.6 that came with my G3.

Thanks

You can try: http://alpha03.c-wss.com/inc/ApplServlet?SV=WWUCA900 (external link)

If that doesn't work have a look at:

I upgraded to version 5.0, and now I can't get Zoombrowser's auto download feature to work.
Anyone else have this problem?

Q: When you plug your Camera in do you get any Pop-up window for Downloading? If so you need to adjust the options to enable the auto download feature.

When I plug in the camera or put the card in the card reader, all I get is a very brief (maybe one second) display of an hour-glass instead of a pointing cursor. Nothing else happens.

I have since started using a trial version of Downloader Pro. Works better than Zoombrowser ever did. The only part of Zoombrowser I ever use is the download feature, so I'm not loosing anything that I care about by just using download software.

Here is the link for everybody to download ZoomBrowser EX 5.0, you have to go to Canon Europe to do it:

Scroll Down alaway to the K4B01ENX.EXE file

You are all very welcome
