hi everyone! my wife informed me not too long ago that she wanted a digital camera. i did research on many cameras to try to determine what model would suit both of our needs. she just wants a good point and shoot for pictures of the kids and things like that and i want it more for our kids sporting events (indoors and outdoors-day and night) and also nature shots. so far i think i like the canon powershot s1 is. can anyone tell me if this is a good camera for us or is there something better. i've read some things that have said its good for sports and then read other things that have said that it isn't so i'm not really clear on if its the camera that i should buy. price is a consideration also. i know that i can get the s1 for about 300.00. thanks for any advice. spilldog

Best advice I can give you is to post the same question in this part of the forum - it is oriented more towards the type of camera you are looking for:

Good luck!

Actually, it fits better here until a decision is made. ;)
