I used to do this years ago (25+ years ago) and I miss doing that. But back then I used my Kodak instamatic 110!

Nice job!

Nice pics and nice models. I started modeling as a 11 year old. I can't put it down. It is the one thing that I can always turn to that calms me down and takes my mind completely off everything else.

Nice looking models! Need some prop blur. ;)

I recetnly got a light tent so hopefully the background and lighting will improve.

I wouldn't use a tent as designed, unless you're selling on eBay. Vary the light placement to add some drama & put the highlights where you need them. Look at the knife & Browning threads here for some ideas:

Thanks for the tip I am going to fool around with it. No prop blur because no one is in the aircraft! On the modeling forums there are some awesome photographers as well and some have done in flight aircraft. It is hard to do as in reality the planes get a bit washed out and the miniatures are lit a bit do definitively. On the modeling forums the light box is useful as we are trying not to display the work and not really present it as a picture

Dashotgun,

Do you work mostly with 1/32? I've often thought that if I were to start building models (I would only do airplanes.) I would want them to be all the same scale and I thought 1/72 would be the most useable all around. The small stuff would be pretty tiny but the 747s and C-5s would still be rather large but doable. What is the most popular scale? Oh well, maybe someday. Keep up the good work.

Regards,
Bob

as I get older the larger scale is easier on the eyes. I also only build Fighters ( WW II and modern) if i was into airlines or transports yes 1/72 or 144 would be the way to go. Thanks for the kind words.

Great work on the models. I used to build plastic regularly when I was younger. I've now recently got into card models, doing free ones now until I can get enough skill to pay for some more detailed ones. I have a stack of plastic models sitting in a closet waiting to be built....one day.
