welcome to potn, and congrats on first post. its a nice image. I think would have done better with a little shallower dof, as its just a touch too busy. the man and statue are also too stacked on top of each other, which gives less ballance to image. over all a decent image.

Thanks for the comment. I was going from one part of the city to another with a bunch of people and decided to get a quick one. :D

Great shot and thanks for joining us. Looks like you might be in an area with some interesting activity. You should start learning about depth-of-field and apply the concepts to your images. For example, try this same shot with your kit lens wide-open, meaning at f/3.5. Try to blur the background while leaving the main subject in focus.

Good luck.

I was just there for half a day. Would love to be there for a longer time and probably will go there soon. :( I've been trying different things on my camera and would definitely love to take that picture again. Thanks for the help. :)

Welcome to POTN. May I say for a beginner that's an awfully good shot and well observed. I agree about the shallower DOF but you've picked him out of the crowd for a picture so that shows a good eye. Carry on snapping away and sharing with us here on POTN :)
