Just wanted to make sure I have everything I need. I ordered this Interfit light setup and it's on it's way. http://www.bhphotovideo.com …llar_300_3_Monolight.html (external link)

Just need a little help understanding how the sync cords work. Each strobe comes with a PC Sync cord, but what do I need that would hook all 3 sync cords together and into the camera. The 40D has a PC port so I wouldn't need a hot shoe adapter correct? but what piece is it that brings these 3 cords into one so that it will plug into my camera?

This units have a built in optical slaves so you will only need to run a cord to one of the flash units.

The other will fire automatically when they "see" the flash burst from the unit connected to the cord.

Enjoy! Lon

Thanks for the quick response. Is that typically the main light that has the cord or does it not really matter?

The flash units appear to be identical, so lash he cord to any one of them and the others will fire via there built in optical slaves.

Note that optical slaves work great in small to medium sized rooms (inside, like a typically studio situation), but function is challenged by very large rooms and outside in daylight.

Enjoy! Lon
