Why would there need to be a Mark II version of the 35L? The original is pretty much outstanding as it is. Everyone I know that has this lens simply raves about it. My opinion is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it...Canon can spend their engineering/research dollars on other areas that need improving, such as an updated IS for the 100-400L.

This is a new one on me.. try the 24-70L IS or 100-400L IS II rumours, they're much more popular
