Lifesablur, sorry but I had to remove the [IMG] tags from your image. It exceeded the size limit. The Image Posting Rulesallow for images to be 1024px on the longest side.

Thanks for comments, shot with 20D and 100-400L, handheld, 1/200, f6.3, ISO100.

A bunch of us invaded the hospitality in front of the railway carriage at the esses, gate open, security letting folks in. They later attempted to boot us off, but relented under severe protest!

Shot taken from the left hand corner behind marshalls hut, great place to shoot from - but at 4k to hire that place out I can't see me getting there again!!! lol

Great shot mate, I tried to get on the inside of a corner but failed. Was it possible to get inside the first corner without a paddock pass ?

See previous message - don't think its possible to get anywhere at Donny without credentials, I just dropped lucky with the security mistake around the hospitality.

I'm sure that won't happen again! lol

Access at Donington rather depends on the event; for the World Superbikes this weekend (5,6,7 Sept) you could get a Paddock Pass for £20 (UK) which - of course - got you into the Paddock (but *not* the pits) but this did allow you to get at the bottom of the Melbourne Loop (although from there, a long lens is needed). The location mentioned above (in front of the Railway carriages) they - accidentally - left open on the Saturday of the Moto GP weekend, although the security later came and kicked everyone off! Pity, as it's a good spot to shoot from. As to the question about the "inside of the first corner" - the first corner is Redgate, and you can get in there sometimes for some events (not the Moto GP though, as that is where they usually put their "Hospitality" area!) I've stood at the inside of Redgate for the British Touring Cars and the British Superbikes, without a problem...
