Lymbyc System / This Will Destroy You - Fort Wayne, IN - 9/6/08

A couple bands from TX got suckered into playing Fort Wayne. I shot the local opener (Metavari) as well, but didn't process the shots. I had to use flash (should have known before hand) and I didn't have my off camera shoe cord, which I'm quite fond of using in crap lighting situations. Anyway, I ended up lighting up the room pretty bad and killing the vibe (in the images). Once they turned the lights on...I faired a little better.
So anyway, at the risk of getting shown up by another member of this here forum...here are some shots from last evening:

Oh...another funny thing. I was in one-shot half the night and thought I was in AI Servo...first time I can remember that happening...woops! Oh well, I still got a few I was happy with.

Thanks, yeah...something about watching a little 3 inch screen that makes you feel so...in the moment. I checked out your stuff on flickr...nice job with the Metavari shots. That set was a wash for me, just didn't find the right flash balance.
I think you stole some of my TWDY shots (that I didn't post)...I'm claiming copyright on the 35mm perspective btw!

Um yeah...I need a 16-35 for this stuff.

No worries, they are a tough band to shoot...no lights other than a projector. And of course, there was $2 Pabst so I could drown my sorrows.
