Still operational steam tractor. Has been in the same family since it was new. Early 1900's I believe. Single cylinder and plenty of gear reductions to the wheels.

Back then a threshing machine. Now it is called a combine. It separates the grain from the rest of the plant it is on. Like wheat , or soybeans.

Yes, he couldn't fire it in the city because of concerns about children and a hot boiler plus the smoke but it still does operate. It has to be inspected every year and a boiler permit granted just like any boiler operating in the state. I have a boiler here where I work that was built in 1952 that operates every day. I have a fondness for it since we are almost the same age. ;);)
