I have been shooting the Republican candidates since last year and had a chance to photograph Obama just a short while ago while he was in Flint Michigan. Since I shoot for a news source all I can show you are the ones that are not the keepers. These are straight out of the camera without any edits - other than to add my name - and yes to squish them down for the web.
For those who care here is my other post of McCain and Palin:https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=565359

#2 is great. It's so hard to get decent photos of someone when they are talking. My hat is off to you. ;)

Thanks gang. The difficulty with events like this is lighting. The lighting prior to the primary with most candidate visits is pretty poor. I have noticed that it has improved since then, I guess they mean business now.

The worst lighting setup was with Governor Huckabee. He was campaigning on a shoe string budget and I actually had to help set up the lighting to ensure I could get good photos at his Michigan stops.

Good set of images. I'm surprised at how well they are lit. 2 and 3 are particularly good.

QUOTED IMAGE

Serious question, not a dig... did you intentionally cut off the top of the head? Or is that what separated these from the "keepers" that you couldn't share?
