Lovely roses not in my garden. Wish they were as easy to grow as to shoot.

Very nice. Check your sharpness or focus points. They don't look as "razor sharp" as they probably should be. And if my neighbor has such award winning roses like that, I would have a flashlight and a nifty set of scissors.....

(just kidding)

Thank you for the CC. Can't blame the sharpness or AF, I'm afraid. All shot in RAW and all manual focus. Maybe my next lens purchase should be some new eyeglasses, hehe!

nice ones!! the dark green in the background is lending a sharp contrast..how does it look if the saturation was toned down a bit?

Well, I've tweaked the jpg file with an unsharp mask of 112%, 1 pixel, no threshold. I brought down the saturation a bit.

What do you think?

This one I unsharped at 150%, 1 pixel, no threshold, and lowered saturation half as much as the first (-5). It doesn't have as much red and the saturation wasn't as distracting. Seems like my Xsi over saturates reds a bit. Anyway, here it is.
