Where do you guys usually store your ballheads and monopods?

Are there any specialized bags for storing a ballhead and or a monopod for travel?

I stuff mine in my camera bag just like a lens or if it's sitting in the backpack with all the other stuff I stick it in the bag that comes with an L lens... it's just about the only use I have for those little leather bags.

When traveling by car, it goes in the trunk. Sometimes it's in the cheap bag that came with it, sometimes not. When traveling by plane, it gets shoved in my checked bag with my reflectors & clothes. I don't consider my tripod one of my more valued possessions.


EDIT: Oops. Obviously misread "monopod" as "tripod." I don't even use my monopod.

When I had one I used to wrap it in a thick black towel I had and but it in my large tripod case.
