Did you loosen the tightening/loosening device in the cover? When you loosen the cover with the button, then the cover should be large enough to easily cover the main bag the way the photo shows and then some...

yeah its as loose as it will go.. i'll take some pics tonight to show what i mean..

Then Kata must have made a mistake. Since you're taking a picture of it, you might want to send it to whoever that sold you so they can send you the correct one. I'm surprised they'd make a mistake like this...

nothings ever simple is it.. i'll give them a shout.

in the meantime this is what i mean.. assuming the 2 loops on the raincover are for the strap buckles to go through this is the correct way up..

even with the toggle of the rain cover slackened all the way off the zip is still exposed..

im assuming that the 3 extra straps supplied are for adding on the waist pack and dont come into play with the raincover?

Your first photo looks like a nice fit, but I don't understand your second photo, since mine doesn't get the zipper exposed. That's weird.

Also, when you said "the 3 extra straps supplied," which are you referring to? The rain cover itself comes with TWO loops for the buckles on the bag to go through. The bag itself has FIVE hooks at the bottom for the Waist Pack and other things to be attached. Were you saying that there are 3 extra straps ON THE RAIN COVER ITSELF?

Wow, that's bizarre... My shipment didn't include those straps... I don't know what's going on... Let me know if you've figured out whether those straps are for the torso bag...

update on my cover problem, bogen UK are on the case (no pun). apparently the rain cover was a very recent upgrade to the T-214 and the US are the only ones to have it as yet, so its being looked into.. excellent as its only getting wetter out there..

otherwise the bag is getting on very well, worn it on several occasions this week alone with no uncomfortable moments. well happy.

I just pulled the trigger on Amazon for this bag as I am going to NYC and bringing my 5D with 24-70 attached and the 17-40 and 85 1.8. I think these would all fit nicely and maybe even include a 430 in the side pocket. I know I could take my Domke bag, but it would be too small.

I think all 5 items you listed would fit in the bag very nicely. Congrats on your 13th bag! :)

I got the bag and will be using it in NYC in December as it's perfect, close to the body, can get to the gear quickly and securely. It secures well with a lot of clasps. I will take some pictures later. Really good quality too.

Gosh, Christmas is too far. I saw me wife on B&H and the heading said "Shipping Information" but I don't want to get too excited. There were a few things on that list but I really love this bag.
