Okay I was just wondering. I have seen posts that go both ways on this.

I have the 20D. I am new to all the "high tech" stuff.

I have been shooting in Parameter 2 (everything in the middle). Everything seems washed out.

I am not in any way even close to being half way decent with PS.

Is Parameter 1 (Contrast, Saturation, Sharpness bumped up one) going to kill my pictures?

I shoot Drag Racing 99.9% of the time, outside (of course).

My thinking is it is the way to go, for now, since I am PS ignorant?

I know this is somewhat of a personal preference issue but I was hoping to learn from some others experience before I blow a shoot using the wrong settings.

Input is much needed and much appreciated.

I would think it would be fine. But personally I stick to the normal setting for my 300D and edit in photoshop to get it how I want it. If your websites photo's are from your camera I would say definitally try it out, cuz your pics are missing a little saturation/contrast.

Thanks!

Yes, the bunch labeled Clobberthon 11 were shot in Parameter 2 on the 20D. The rest are from a different camera all together.

Hi Tom! Welcome to the board. Sorry about being a little OT here, but I just had a quick look at your site and really liked what I saw there. I'll be back later to check it out some more. :D

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

I just moved out to New Braunfels from NM, and I too am a car guy, and mainly photograph drag racing, though I haven't made it to SAR yet. I don't have a 20d but I might be able to help you a bit, since I'm decently saavy at these things.

Here's a thread with a few of my shots from back in NM.

Thanks. I will get it all together before too long. I'll keep plugging along until I get to where I would like to be. I get a little impatient sometimes.

I saw those earlier. Really cool shots. Welcome to Texas. If your interested I may be able to get you into some races that are coming up. I run all around Texas to do pictures and video for most of the Outlaw races. I have a blast out there. Theres nothing like sitting at the wall when those monsters blast through, especially when they leave a little loose!

The part that scares me is when they get loose again midway down the track.

You guys are gonna make me jealous now. I used to LIVE for Friday and Saturday at the Strip.
Edit, I'm talking about the shots in your site again.
Tom, You've managed some really fine captures here, keep em coming. :D

Yeah, I'd definitely would like to go to a few, especially to take some pics.

Outlaw is what I know, I have a few friends with Outlaw Mustangs and I hosted an event where we also had an Outlaw GTO and 2nd Gen Camaro.
