Not from a gallery, but from a place like this where you see their work or their website and you think "I gotta have a copy of that".

This is the only pro photo that I ever bought. It is from 1995, me and Carroll Shelby.

I usually prefer my photos in books. On walls they get faded and start tearing and corners fold up. Having it printed large also reveals the limitations of the medium used. By that I mean even the occasional photo in Moments looks a bit grainy because of how big it's been printed (prime example being "Soiling of Old Glory").

QUOTED IMAGE

Wow, what an experience to meet him in the flesh... I'm envious!
I have seen many photos and thought, Man that's incredible I must have it, and looked at my bank account and there has never been enough... lol.
I do get those urges but never surcummed to them.

Edit: Actually, I have got many Street Machine posters up, a few of my Mum's old paintings, and One poster I purchased from the US of a Mustang.

I usually prefer my photos in books.

Me, too.

Photo Books - not manuals or guides

I bought a large framed print for my parents wall as a gift to them.

I do have some of mine that I plan to put up, but I would love to buy some work of some other aspiring photogs to put up too. I have some prints for sale, and I feel if someone would by mine I should certainly buy the work of others, if I like their work.
