turns out, when you go at high tide, near sunset, there's not a lotta action going on, except for the pelican putting on a show..

minimal to no PP, nor cropping, except for this bird skimming along the water. ID please:

and another one. i swear the big guy was going to bomb me when it flew at me like this.. dove for the water not 10 feet from me.. not exactly one of those spectacular dives though, just a skim.

2nd time there tonight, and i didn't feel completely annoyed that i only had a 70-200 + 1.4.. it actually seemed to be ok.

i think that has more to do with the high tide though. it pushed the subjects either close enough, or WAY out of reach that i didn't even try.

question, is my exposure poor, or do i need to do some PP? when comparing my pictures of GBH to others on the forum, mine doesn't seem to show the blue on the beak very well.

Maybe you see it better closer up? I just looked at my pics from a few days ago and the beaks are blue. Not from PS though. Or maybe it depends on the birds age?
