It's designed to do that. If you do push the button or it receives a signal will will flash for another hour. There is no off switch on the receivers or the transmitter, btw. A full manual shot with the flash does produce a noticeably different pop. At least my units do. Dave

And for the RX'er not turning off, I had the same issue except I was draining batteries in between uses, so now I store the RX'er with no batteries in it. When I need the Cyber Syncs, I pop the batteries in it and off I go. Brandon

I'm not sure you should be able to tell the difference in ETTL since you can't use ETTL with a Cybersync. If it's going off, it is probably dumping the whole load as if it were in manual. I could be wrong. I don't use an ETTL flash when I go off camera with a radio remote.
