All I saw was the ad in the background. Gear List * www.tranquilphotos.com

It's what I might call a 'living abstract' and the great juxtaposition of a subject that is dwarfed by incredible typographic and photographic elements that seem abnormally large because of the cropping. I don't mind the subject being a little lost in the image... the delay in the discovery of her and her dog is welcomed. Canon Rebel XTi | Kit 18-55mm | UV+CP Filters

It kind of makes you wonder what you're looking at and then you realize it's not a Photoshop job, it's just an add it the backgroud. It would be nice to see the woman and her dog in color, however, just to see the difference and make them pop. I think I might like the second shot better if it was just the woman in frame and the table and the man to the right of the photo were cropped out all together. There's a story behind her expression while the man on the right doesn't necessarily add anything for me. He's a slight distraction. I like the PP and the photo in general, but just a something else to try. They are both nice, interesting shots.

Sep 11, 2008 23:06 | #7 #1 - Like it. Shows a sense of scale that is very intriguing. My main quibble would be that it would be better if the lady and her dog were on the right... walking into the photo rather than walking out of it. Website: Iowa Landscape Photography
