hi,

I've been taking some pics with my G1 and Hoya R72 Infrared filter, uploaded to the site below.
Where do I go from here, it seems most people convert their IR images to Black/White, and sometimes this works really good, but, is there also a place for more differently processed shots.
If you take a look at the photos that I have uploaded you can see that I have 'played' with some of them, using Photoshop, levels, auto-levels, colour selections and replacements, overlay blending etc.
Whilst I am enjoying taking these IR photos and their subsequent processing, I am not sure if I am heading in the right direction.
At the moment I am taking more IR photos than non-IR photos.
Any comments would be welcome.

thanks

alan

Alan,

Where to go depends on what you like. I like the effects in your pictures very much.

I have not done much black and white with my G1. Have read that printing might be a problem. Some pros use a six color system with custom black inks in all reservoirs to get the "right" tonal range.

You have piqued my interest in IR!

Del K
