G'day,
Just wanted to confirm that the RC-1 and RC-5 are NOT compatible with the 40D.
Correct?

Any remote for the 40D will need to either be a cable release, or it will need a receiver in the kit. My photography website!PHOCAL PHOTOGRAPHY

I used this quite often when I shot with the Rebel. However, the plethora of features of the xxD cameras, far outweigh the minor loss of an IR receiver. I have just purchased, but have not as yet received, this cordless remote for my 40D. http://cgi.ebay.com …ZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem The price of this Chinese unit is certainly very low...

It took about 2 weeks to come, but I have NO complaints. It will also lock for the buld feature so you have have extended exposures. 7D |EOS 20D | Nifty Fifty | Canon EFS 10-22MM f/3.5-4.5 | 70-200L 4.5 | EFS 70-300 | EFS 18-55 3.5-5.6 |
