I saw this thread on Flickr, so I am putting it up here just in case the owner happens to be a forum member:

This is why I have a little text file called owner.txt containing contact email and mobile no. on the root of my card although I don't expect anyone to necessarily look their but you never know!
It would be nice if all camera's did this automatically so people new where to find it!

Have to say the owner of this card is potentially very lucky - Always nice to see when people don't assume a 'I found it my keeper' type attitude :)

Hope this doesn't hijack this thread but has anyone engraved their cards? People engrave their calculators and mobiles, is it possible to engrave your cards?

I used a fineline permanent marker to write name and cell phone number on the CF cards.

Easy peasy!

Oh, the thread is still here!

Just had an idea. Here's the wording of the thread on Flickr. If the owner reads this, post here and I'll contact the person on Flickr. He says:

Its a long shot but i may as well try:

I recently found an SD memory card near the docks in liverpool, the photos on the card are the irreplaceble holiday-of-a-lifetime type. They are of a holiday in Norway, from an English couple.

if its yours, then please let me know. (dont try and scam me for a free memory card as i will ask what the photos are of).

like i say - a long shot, but i know that if i had lost it i would be v upset.

The finder's user name on Flickr is RichP86.
