Anyone have a tamrac Adventure 9 and traveld in europe.

The bag is13x10.5x20 supposedly.

The limits i am finding for the airlines are about 12x8x21.

So this bag is just a little deep.

Anyone had problems while traveling internationally.

I am looking for a bag that will hold a 17 inch laptop plus some camera gear plus some other stuff. This looked the best, and i am looking for a backpack.

Any other ideas?

Yep. Twice. No problem. I took in on as carry-on luggage no worries. I don't use the laptop pocket, so not sure if a 17" laptop will fit. You might need to check that first.

Tamrac says it will fit a 17inch, guess i should check. For this trip i will be taking my work computer, its only 15, so it will be fine. But i want a bag that will be good enough for my stuff :)

How much of your gear are you planning on taking? Because that bag carries a lot, I took probably too much for day trekking. It's heavy. By the end of the trip I was leaving half my stuff in the hotel room. I also found it quite hot on my back = sweaty.

This time I plan on taking just camera body, 17-55, 10-22, 580EXII. I carried my 70-200 2.8 around last time and only used a handful of times. Not worth it. Unless you're going to zoos etc, most shooting was wide.

My problem is that i have some bags now but they are way to large for "intermational" carry on and they don't hold a laptop.

I need something that will carry my work stuff, then my camera.

I plan to take 30D, 10-22, 24-70 or 17-55, gorillapod slr zoom, remote. Debating 430ex or 530ex. Problable 430, even though i don't really know if i will need it so much. Probably leaving the 70-200 at home. Might take the 50 1.4.

I want this bag to hold my own laptop thats 17 inchs and needs to hold my work laptop thats 15.

I get the weekend in paris, so i will leave the laptop in the room and will just tkae camera gear, plus some snacks and drink.

Oh my thats too much camera gear. You should be good with the 10-22 and 17-55 and if want a flash the 430ex. Most places dont let use a tripod or flash. The 50mm f/1.4 is nice but you dont need it, just bump the iso up.

I was in Italy and used my 10-22 nearly the whole time. Even inside poor lit building, shoot at f/4 ISO800 1/20s, images came out great. Just for ref I had a 40d, 10-22, 28-70L, 50mm, 85mm, 70-200 f/2.8L IS. I only need a 10-22 and sometimes the 28-70.
