Mara modeled for me last weekend and this is one from her set. Let me know what you think.

Thanks.

It's not underexposed. I wanted an edgier look, so the stairs have been darkened a bit. She is the subject matter. Is she under exposed?

her shoes stand out more than anything else to me, if the stairs were maybe darkened more she would probably pop more.

It may be the compression for posting but the picture does not seem tack sharp, it doesn't pop out there, it seems (lacking other words) bland. I would look for something else (crop, pp, curves etc) to make it stand out.

i think your work is nice. but on some of your images.. i feel that you went too heavy on the vignette or something.. because on one of the photos it runs over her face, and kind of flattens her.

but overall i think they are really nice. and there are a couple towards the end that are awesome.

Checked out your other shots from this session..... I believe you probably posted the worst picture here, of course you may have meant to do that. You have some really good ones in the set. Try posting a few of the better ones here. A lot of folks refuse to follow links and are just skimming through these threads.

Thanks for the feedback. If you don't mind my asking...which ones did you like and why? It is hard to tell what the appeal of the images are to people and want to get a feel for what most people like.

These look great. But it seems your processing is flattening out the image. I dont think you over did your processing -- just maybe you passed through them too quickly.

Make when you do portraits, Take care of that face the most. Keep it in focus and keep it lit well. It keeps the eyes from wondering off to the toes ^_-

I don't know what you mean. These have very little if any processing on the faces, so what do you mean I passed through them too quickly? I just want to understand what you think they are missing or what you don't like about them. Maybe they were over-lit? I am using some strobist type setups and just started into that realm. Am I putting too much light on them?

Don't get me wrong, your pictures look great. specially the last 2. They are well lit. but if you look at

her legs look like they are dead. The legs have a gray tone to the skin. The last image, if you look at her legs, they look more in the natural skin color - a little off but much closer than the first shot.
