It's about being aware of what's happening in your shot. Granted that it's hard to see what's happening when you're shooting a moving car, but there's no reason not to shoot extra shots & throw out the "Pole shots"? It's not as if you had to pay for film? I don't mind the trees in that one. They lead into the car. I think you might have cropped it better, though. Is the car the subject, or the landscape with the car in it? Hard to say without seeing the shot. I don't mind it in that particular shot. IMO, with a good background, there's nothing growing out of the car.

actually you have seen the shot! In fact you were the first to reply... and you mentioned the pole... LOL!

Thread is here: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=545876

Originally I was going to throw the pole shot out... but as it turned out it ended up being one of my friends favorites! So I guess it's true, one man's garbage is another man's treasure! LOL!

As I mentioned, the rolling shots were very spontaneous... very spur of the moment... stick your camera out the window and see what happens! LOL! So really there was no way to get more shots... BTW, we were on that short section of M-59, east of I-75, where it's just 2 lanes... you can only hold up traffic for so long... LOL

Normally i do try make sure the backgrounds are nice and clean... but some times you just can't help it... and you have to make due with what you've got. ;)

Well, I'm glad he's happy, but IMO, all his artistic taste in in his mouth? The other shots show good motion & are much better.

Hey, that's the bumper and hood I want, thanks, I needed a little push. Great shots, and some sick Stangs.

I sold my Stang just over a year ago...but I'm still keeping my fingers in the Mustang world...

A lot of times with these motion shots it's not as much of an issue, when you get enough background blur the car tends to differentiate itself from whatever may have been "growing" out of it if was simply a still capture.

I do agree with the original set posted you needed a longer exposure, it just takes time to get good at panning with the car at the right speed. A good way to cheat is to turn on the multi shot and go to town, you're likely to get at least ONE good shot out of it!

Great shots man, used to own a modified Mustang myself but had to give it up when I decided to move out of the 'rents house. I'm driving a '99 Accord now but the only meets and car shows I go to are Mustang related. All my friends drive them!! lol

Seriously though, nice job on the rolling shots - I know how hard it is to get slower speeds at high mph's from experience.

Even thought I'm currently Mustang-less, i still try to keep my fingers in the Mustang world... in fact as it turns out some of my pictures from this "cruise" are up on the Modified Mustangs and Fords website!

Not 100% sure but it very well could have been! I know there were a couple of LEO's on that stretch... which is another reason I didn't have a lot of time to get the rolling shots.... LOL

try 1/60

Would have loved to if I would have had more time... (see earlier posts...)

Ok... here's another one.. this was at 1/100... the front appears sharp, but the rear is soft (which is why I've haven't posted it or put it in my gallery until now) .... looks like like a motion issue not a DOF issue... I'm thinking 75 MPH on a rough road, cars bouncing, riding in Mustang with a harsh aftermarket suspension is the culprit... ???
