Just after leaving the beach, this one arrive.
I take the monopod out of the car, sit on the sand and wait half an hour until
he was close.

Thanks for your comments Bill, his beak is really amazing.
This bird is not so common in my country but with a little luck you can see it from time to time in the rock shores.

To catch it, I sit at the shore and patiently wait for him (I know that he will walk toward me because they are feeding along the rocks).
I use a monopod, a 500mm lens plus a 1.4 TC

Yes Anke, the beak of this one has a beautiful shiny red, the other one has a little darker red color with salt spot around it.

Sweet shot, nice and sharp!! Its one shore bird I hope to see this year. Rare but around.
