Last evening, just as the sun was starting to go down, my hubby runs into the house yelling, "Is your camera ready? There's a hawk on the street light. Quick, get your camera!" I dutifully get my camera out but wasn't in the greatest hurry (last time his "hawk" turned into a pigeon). He ripped the camera out of my hands and raced out the door (at least he put the strap around his neck). This is the shot he got.

LOL That is so typical of a raptor! You gotta be careful though - usually they assume that position just before the jet propelled poop goes flying. :-)

I have some family down in Tuscon. I'll have to keep an eye out for these guys next time I'm down there.

I've got lots of animal backside shots too.

Lazy, it so happens there was some poop dripping down the light after it took off.
