So, I leave in the a.m. for vacation. I have decided to add filters to my photography bag for both sunrise/sunsets and long exposures of the ocean. I researched the question here as far as what to get, decided on a Lee system and ordered the foundation kit, WA 77mm adapter and some filters from 2filter.com. In a moment of temporary dementia, I put all the stuff in my electronic cart, but didn't finish checking out. When I finally realized I hadn't actually ordered what I thought I had ordered, it was Wednesday. So, I called them, spoke to a very nice lady and ordered everything and had her ship it next day air, just to be safe.

Next day (Thursday) nothing comes. I didn't have a tracking #, and by the time I gave up on UPS, everything was closed.

Had to work this am. Rush home at noon...no package. A UPS truck then drives up, parks in front of my house and I watch from a window expectantly as the driver chats on his cell phone for a few minutes....then restarts his truck and drives off without getting out. Dude...not cool. So, I call 2filter to get a tracking # and you can only imagine my dismay when I find out that according to UPS it is supposed to be delivered on Monday the 15th, when I'll be 1,000 miles away.

Call 2filter back. They discover a clerical error was made. The owner, John, now speaks with me and was very nice and extremely upset about the mistake. He offers to ship me a duplicate package to my resort, so I should have it on Monday. The only difference is they are out of the WA 77mm adapters. My lens is an EFS 10-22; John tells me he thinks I would prefer the Cokin Z holder for that lens anyway as it can be configured easily to minimize vignetting at the extreme wide angles. So, I'm going to try it out. Everything else that I ordered was available. I have to say that they really took care of me. Some of the big stores make you feel like a number and could care less about individual customers. That is not the case with 2filter.com. We're all human and certainly I make lots of errors (um, like forgetting to finish checking out on the website 2 weeks ago...); I really appreciate that they have gone the extra distance to fix their mistake and make me a happy and likely repeat customer!!

It's good to hear when someone cares about the customer. Unfortunately, it's becoming increasingly rare.

It's a lens not a lense!

Good ending. For a minute there, I thought this was going to be another "my filter saved my lens" threads. ;)
