does anyone have examples of a gel'd black background?

preferably on a muslin. Just wanting to see if that is something that would even work or if it wouldn't show much color at all. Looking for something that would show color behind the subject and then fade off to a black.

Someone here iirc posted an example of what a white and a black background would look like gelled. As I recall colors on the white background when gelled looked subdued where as the colors on the black background when gelled where nice and vibrant. IIRC the user did use paper and not muslin. I will try and find the link to the post if someone doesnt post it first.

Not the thread I was thinking but he did shoot the pics on a black background which he gelled. Look for TMR Designs post its post number 23 in that thread iirc https://photography-on-the.net …71&highlight=bl​ack+gelled

Still gonna look for the thread that has the example of both black and white backgrounds side by side Gelled.

Carpenter- Glad I could be of help, if you havent yet, check out Titus213's link, thats the pic I was originally talking about and looking for.

Titus213- You are the man, thats the pic I was initially looking for to show the OP. Do you happen to remember what thread you found that in, my search-fu was weak looking for it.

Funny thing happened on the way to the forum....

Someone asked where that picture was before. No one could find. Turns out it was given to me to post for use here so it's on my web site. Give me a few minutes and I can set it up so you can get to the original - I think.
