Had my first try at sports shooting last weekend, and finally got around to picking through the shots. I'm not done, nor have I done any PP yet. C&C welcome, as well as ideas on how to improve them since I'm still at the "Try this and that." stage of PP. Thanks.

I'll sort through the rest and see if there are any more worth posting if anyone wants to see them. TIA.

The images themselves are good...the problem is composure. You need to get up to the front seats and/or get a longer focal length($$$)lens. You want to see facial expressions, sweat, and other attributes that are associated with sports.
Good Luck!

These shots are fun to shoot for a fan, but from where you were sitting there was really no way to create what most people would call good sports action shots. You were flat out way too far from the action for the typical tight shot needed.

Plus you are on the wrong side to capture faces.

Free tickets, and with the security today they wouldn't let me move despite the nearly empty stadium. I had my 70-200 and have some tight shots but mainly I was worried about image quality and being ready instead of composition since I couldn't move. Really sucked especcially since the place was near empty.

Here's a crop I did just to see how well it would work. A touch OOF, but I may be able to make it presentable.
