Uh.... OK. I'll have to play with the 40D to remember how. I've been on a crash course with the other camera for about two weeks.... :o Gimme a few minutes....

OK Thanks.

puddlepirate44 wrote in post #6375107 (external link)
OK, here we go:

1. Change your avatar back.

2. Set up what you want. For example, go to Tv, set your ISO at 400, shutter speed to 1/160, high speed drive, HTP, whatever. When you get all that set to where you want,

3. Press Menu.

4. Go to the third yellow wrench.

5. The top selection is "Camera user setting" hit "Set"

6. You might want to go to Clear Settings just to make sure you're starting from scratch.

7. Highlight "Register" and hit "Set"

8. Select which "C" you want these settings to be under. Highlight that "C" and hit "Set".

9. Highlight "OK" and hit "Set"

Bingo.

Do that for each set up that you want.

a. They will always be at that setting. If you find yourself having to tweak the settings once you get to the Custom setting, reset it over again. The whole purpose is to make this FAST.

b. You have three custom settings, so try to use them all with the parameters that you use the most. During the birding season, I have C1 as the AI Servo, High Speed drive, Av settings and C2 as the more Manual set for static bird shots.

Does this make sense?

Thanks so much Dan. I will try this. I missed a wreck a couple weeks back because of shutter speed. And I miss BIF because of one shot. I really appreciate the english verison of this!

1. Change your avatar back.

Long story but I need it for a little bit. I am hoping I have new one on the way.

I don't know if you can tell or not, but in the strip, I'm holding a Big Gulp cup. I tried to write, "Big Gulp" on the side of the cup, but it didn't really work too well. :o

I couldn't read it, but I was assuming that's what it was. ;)

Nope haven't had time to look around... am exhausted now likely won't look around til tomorrow... as long as I can find my User CP link I'm good....

Colonial Pipeline is HOLDING fuel for it's larger companies (Shell/BP etc) and turning away independent distributors. Our area is heavily supplied by those independents.... therefore we're not getting fuel... The larger companies are going to their larger markets before coming HERE... So it's just adding to the frustration.... The lines are extremelly long.... And I won't burn up all my gas to possibly get up to the pumps and put 6 cents in my tank like one guy or 32 cents like another person.... It's nuts!

The problem is that I work for a child care center. We have state required teacher child ratios and no extra staff to cover one staff over another to go get gas... these lines are lasting 1-5 hours depending on the station and what's happening at the moment... How can our employer CHOOSE who gets to go get gas and who does not.... Because the waiting in line does not guarentee you getting to the pumps and having gas there when you get to your turn....

That sucks so bad Jen. If I lived closer to you, I'd take your car for you ;). Maybe someone can.

Thanks Bobert... the problem is I work totally out of the way for my family to come out there for gas..... Dan's the only one out there and I wouldn't ask him to do that, I'm a good 10-15 min from his house.... Basically work is 1/2 way between my house and his.... My parents actually live closer to my employer than either Dan or I.... But I won't even ask my dad to come out. I tried to get my friend to go do it but he had already taken his break....

Cat my idea was for you to use the LOVE part almost like you use a signature or watermark, be it on a boarder or across another photo, say of just a bare belly.

I agree about the block lettering to help it along, you could go with a pink or bluish theme depending on if they know what they are having.
