Terri that campsite is at Wallowa Lake, OR. It's our favorite camping spot. The lake is gorgeous and very very deep. Ice cold year round. You can't see the tops of the mountains on this shot (from this morning). But they are pretty tall. As your looking at the lake here, the campsite is at the far end around the corner. Right at the base of the mountains.

Looks like a nice place to camp. I wonder what caused that huge bald spot on the hillside to the right of the lake. It kind of looks like a ski resort might be there.

I'm off as well.

Have a couple meetings in the AM, and some work to finish up, but you'll see me sometime tomorrow. ;)

Sleep well all.

ZANE! We are waiting for shots from this weekend. Do us a couple quick processes when you get a chance. ;)

nope no ski resort in that area that I know of. There is a fairly bare hill to the left of the lake too. I always try and leave that one out of my pics 'cause it doesn't look as pretty as the rest.;)

Another quick catch-up post before bed...

evening folks, almost too tired to type. I was on my feet all day, but wanted to say that I LOVE my rapid strap!!! I had my regular neck strap on and my camera started feeling to heavy, so I changed over and it was really great to just let it go when I had too and to take the weight off my neck.

Permagrin wrote in post #6443339 (external link)
oh...and I didn't know you bought the R-Strap. I really like that strap.

I used mine this weekend for the 40D+100-400 combination. I had the 20D+28-75 over the other shoulder on a similar starp I cobbled up out of stuff I had on hand here. It didn't work as well and I'm thinking about buying a second R strap.

I didn't experience the fatigue in my neck like I usually do, but have extremely sore feet and knees from standing on concrete for four days. I came away from the airshow with a total of 2,154 images that I have to cull down to about 12-15 for the article...
