Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

That was a great pumpkin day rant, Crissa! Your guys always look SO happy. I love it.

Lovely fire, Jen! How close were you to the coals? You know your lens will just melt if you get too close.  :p ;)

We have a fire pit in our backyard, and I LOVE it. It is fantastic for outdoor visiting, especially in the cooler months.

I was very careful as to how close I got.... But I was within less than a foot of the coals for very BRIEF moments to shoot the coals....

I won the 'Before and After #114' contest. It's the first time I've ever played, though I've followed along for quite some time.

It is WAY harder to pick a photo for everyone else to edit than it is to edit someone else's.

Another contest I have not heard about. I will go look for it later to check it out.
Crissa, it always brings a smile to my face to see photos of your gang from work. :D

I saw this phenomenon with some shots from Mike last year. Pumpkins growing all over the place, but no sign of the vines. Is this a common thing. Around here you either go into the pumpkin patch where they are grown, pick one out of the growers bin, or go to the local grocery store.

Hot stuff there Jennifer. :D
I have had a portable fire pit for a dozen years or more for use at home. They are great, as they can be moved anywhere you want, and right out of the way when not in use.

When you go to a U-pick type place Jim they will sometimes offer them on and off vine, this place is set up for youngsters in school trips and it is faster to leave them out already de-vined ;)

It was a gorgeous day, even the drive was just beautiful. In about a week or two we will really be into the colors, there was still a great deal of green.

I saw a bear on the side of the road that had been killed by a car, racoons I'm used to but not BEARS!
