This a train wreck down the street from where I live... Very sad... C-C This was hard to get a good shot because I was on a cliff overlooking it and it was getting dark fast so hand holding a 400 mm was a challange... I have some other shots But I still have to PP them...

Yes, it is very sad. I heard at least 10 people lost their lives.

Have you contacted any news sources about using your images?

Pretty horrific looking scene. Certainly took a huge hit to do that much damage to the cab of 8491.

The loco of the Metrolink train was pushed back into the lead passenger car, and both overturned and caught fire briefly.
There are numerous pics posted at LATimes.com, if anyone is interested.

I watched the rescue efforts late into the night....very sad situation to say the least.

I saw this on the news, very tragic accident. It's hard loosing someone and I heard about 25 are dead so far. RIP.

I know several people who had friends or relatives on the train. They are still cleaning up from it. We could feel the ground shake when it happened.
