I find myself frequenting POTN less often these days.

Here's a couple pictures from a recent newborn session I did for baby Reann!

Cheers :)

Love #1! That is some head of hair.

>>full time labor & delivery nurse at night

What a great way to find business, eh? :D My wife is a L&D nurse and we just had our first a few days ago.

I was SHOCKED to see the amount of hair the baby had! I actually don't promote my photography services to my patients. This baby belongs to a friend of mine :)

Congrats on your new addition! Will you be posting any pictures??

BTW, I'm originally from Vancouver, BC too!!!! Did your wife deliver at BC Women's? My best friend also works as an L&D nurse there :D

Nope, St. Paul's, but we did do a few ultrasounds at Women's.; great place with a good staff in that department at least.

cute, number 1 i like, although not too keen on your font choice...

number 2 is creative but not so sure the parents etc would feel the same. they yould be more along the line of she is out of focus...

The second photo doesn't do it for me. It looks as if your camera was acting up on you and I think the clients will think that as well.

This technique you want to do would work if there was a teddy bear, toy or something else in the foreground that you focused in on and left the baby out of focus from there. This also works if shooting the baby's feet or hands. Get those in focus and sharp and then have the DOF fall off so the baby's body and face are out of focus.

The first shot is great. Have any more pics?

As the client, I would have to agree with you. Thank you for pointing it out!

I really like #1! #2, not so much, only because at first I looked at it and thought "why is this completely out of focus" and then realized the blanket was the target. It's a great idea in theory, though!
