I've tried using a portable DVD player with the little bag and hung it on my tripod but it was a big pain in the BUTT!

This screen looks like it might fill the bill. Anyone have any exp with it? With something else like it? With something else period?

I'll also be using this (or something like it) with my Canon GL2 when shooting video. I shoot a lot in low light so a larger screen would be a big help.

Never had the need for such a screen. Thats really interesting looking though. Why is it that you are looking to have a screen mounted to your tripod? Are you intending to use it for self portraits, to show the subject what they look like, or to see the image you just too larger? And are you intending to just run the TV/Video out from the camera into this?

Just for my own use to see a larger version of the shot as the vast majority of what I shoot is in very low light and the small screen on the camera just does not allow me to see the image well enough. The LCD screen would act as the camera LCD screen displaying all the info as well as the image. The 7" screen would be perfect for me and I could also use it as a live LCD viewer when I'm shooting video with the GL2.

I would like to find something a little more affordable but I'm hoping for the moon on that one.

Just a bump to see if anyone has any exp with the product then I'll just let the thread go away and die...and order the product.
