shouldn't this thing be idiot proof?
let's say i'm using 1/200 ISO 100 f/8
i set the dial to ASA 100 and f/8 is about a red. so i put it to red and everything is overexposed. what am i doing wrong?

You've got the gist of it. So you see it is kinda self explanatory, if not idiot proof. Well, nothing is truly idiot proof as an idiot finds ways to mess up anything! Treat your friends as you do your pictures, and place them in their best light.

It's really fast when you know which way you twist. Eventually you can just guess by the aperture and distance. For me it's far easier than twisting a dial on the side for ten minutes scratching my head. That thing was invented before digital. http://jayceg.com
